Hello brothers and sisters, the phrase "his blood runs in my veins" troubles me greatly! His life, His spirit... okay, but His blood?! God is Spirit, and Jesus did not have children in the flesh! The problem is that sometimes you hear this false doctrine preached as well. The first time I heard this false teaching in a sermon was in the summer of 2017, and I was taken aback. This song is circulating, leading many poorly grounded Christians astray. I've also heard this preached in RUclips videos. In my opinion, this song should not be disseminated. The lyrics of hymns are extremely important; we absorb them, confess them, and believe what we hear. So, let's sing what is in line with the Word of God. The melody is very lovely, but we cannot sing falsehoods and lead others to do the same. That's my perspective.
